"The Hidden Treasure"
It is the motivation for all,
It comes freely,
Gives everything,
And asks for nothing but trust and faith in return.
It is the good of all evil,
The treasure from Pandora's Box,
Like a fingernail under nailpolish,
Unseen until revealed.
And what a sight it is!
Glowing and shining,
Visible to all,
Even to the blind man who can not see,
But can feel the beauty of it in his heart.
This is the hidden treasure.
When all is gone,
Only one thing is left.
Hope.

I hope that people will realize that you are never truly doomed in this world. There is always a good that can fight the bad. This poem is for all of those kids, and adults, out there who feel like they have no reason to live because the present is too painful. I want to tell you that you are wrong. Hope is the one thing in this world that will never abandon you and it will fight with all the misery out there in order to show you the beauty of life.
