The black roses were almost th most beautiful

Dramatic in effect and always ignored

 

So honest yet distant

Thorns consciously placed all over their stems; forever inapproachable

But no matter- people always reach for what they can never obtain

 

Luscious petals cowering outward,

Always shielding the core from the wreckage trying to permeate

 

Ever so delicate, because the most beautiful things are the easiest to destroy
