What You Have
When you wait in the middle of traffic and curse the stars for the wasted time,
Someone is fighting for their life on the end of that traffic line.
As you weep over the death of your beloved friend,
Someone is desperately trying to cope from the feeling of an end.
While you cry about the experience of your horrid past,
Someone has lost their future before breathing their last.
No one asked for the life that is brought to them, but it is always best
To believe in what we have left, as a bless.
You cannot blame someone for the tragedies you face,
So for now, be happy in what you had for a taste.

In all honesty, I was on the freeway, (my mother driving, of course), and I saw a massive line of cars, waiting and looking quite impatient. I thought it was just a normal traffic jam, you know, too many cars at once, I learned that it wasn't as my mother continued to drive. The police lights caught my eyes first and then the site of the crash. I don't remember seeing an ambulance, but the crash seemed brutal. It was then that i had the idea of the poem forming in my head. I got home and I typed it up.
