Passive, Aggressive
It is easy to forget
How much you have lived. In between the quiet spells, the onward and upward pull of gravity towards bigger and better things,
You are a double negative, seeping colour from every crease.
There is no sanctuary, for the incessant patterns traced over and over onto skin. We roll a dice and call it art, luck
is not on my side. Drowning in the grey blue, watching the sun paint you into a hologram, you fade and bend in the light, never still for long enough to remember a face, a name –
You are magnificence caught in an impossible space. Your heart is too heavy for me too hold, I keep wrapping myself around you but it’s never enough.
Reflected, beamed up from the boiling tarmac, a mirage
is all you are. Flawed, figmented, too good to be true.
