The path we once accepted,
Changed us completely,
From a beautiful bright summer to a cold dark winter,
We realized we disconnected,
Like a delicate rose petal from its stem,
That was once the beauty in your eyes.

The distance between us increased,
                                                         unfortunately,
The path we once accepted

Unable to cement the pieces
We broke apart discreetly
Invisibly, before the cement had time to harden

We realized we disconnected,
Like a delicate rose petal from its stem,
That was once the beauty in your eyes.

The memories decreased,
                                        sorrowfully,
The path we once accepted,
Arose from his caprices.

We realized we disconnected,
Like a delicate rose petal from its stem,
That was once the beauty in your eyes.

The anger releases adrenaline,
and as it engulfs the room,
and pours out of the windows,
I can see the fury in the tree,
as a rose drops, again, to the ground.

It feels so deeply
The path we once accepted
We realized we disconnected,
Like a delicate rose petal from its stem,
That was once the beauty in your eyes.
