LOOK AT MY PROFILE. DO IT.

One day I went outside at dark,

To see if I could see the sky.

I think I saw a tiny spark...

Amidst the smoggy, city-lit grey.

I saw it fly: a shooting star!

A tiny little silver fish.

And with eyes shut tight, I made a wish.

I wished that:

There was no Ebola,

That children in Africa wouldn't starve,

That every homeless man had a warm home,

That I could hug everyone in pain,

That there was no suffering in the world,

That there was no hunger or disease,

That broken families could be brought back together,

That there were no wars that could kill people,

That everyone could open their eyes to people hurting,

That there was no pollution,

That the world was beautiful,

That there was no racism,

That there could be no abuse,

That there was world peace.

I opened my eyes and looked back up.

My star flashed red and green; it was an airplane.
