Don't Make Me Go
Mommy, I’m afraid to go to school.
They make fun of me and threaten my life.
Please, mommy. Don’t make me go.
What if I die in one of the fights?
They push me into walls, lockers, and doors.
It hurts so much when my head hits the floor.
Mommy, can’t you hear my plea?
I walk around with black and blues all over me.
I no longer want to cry; they love it when I cry.
so maybe I should just take my own life,
you know – suicide.
Mommy, please listen to me, you know?
I’m afraid to go to school,
so please don’t make me go.
