Where I'm From
I am from summer trips to the Northwoods,
a sink stacked with dishes,
and a house filled with animals.
I am from picking bushels of tomatoes from the garden,
weekend playdates with Monica and Elizabeth,
and antiquing with Mom and Dad.
I am from the first day of preschool where I met Madison,
to the first time I rode my bike without training wheels,
and the first time I came home from school crying.
I am from the 100 year old maple in the backyard,
running through the sprinkler with Justin,
and building snowmen in the winter.
I am from smelling fresh baked turkey at Grandma’s house,
family get togethers at Christmas,
and a room with an intense amount of laughter.
I am from summer trips to the northwoods,
a sink stacked with dishes ,
and a house filled with animals.
