Dim and dark
on sunken wings
the melting glow
of tears on skin
and dint of pressure
grasping spare
and turning raw
those gaping eyes
stinging the sight
of what is right in front of us.

The author's comments:
Though this is a poem about crying, I don't see it as a specifically negative way. I wrote this after a difficult time in my life, where the crying was not only about grief, but a sense of renewal and clearing my vision. Thank you for reading.

I really get the whole crying thing. I wish I was this good at writing poems. I write more than anything when I'm sad. It helps. I know. I've been there. I really like it. It caputes the essence of crying. Keep writing.

"I believe nothing can be justly and completely explained by words."

im not trying to insult anyone or anything, but i just cant stand it when people just say something like "i love it!", "it was very good/deep/well written...etc", and so on. i want to hear what people think of what i wrote, not how i wrote. the impression is more important than the style or induced awe. i wish more people could cry to relieve their impaired vision so that they may be able to see what you want them to see...something more in depth, more....everything. not literal or surface intentions..

i can relate to you. and i hope that i got your message the way you implied it.

Beautiful! I like how it was short and simple. Just how it was simple made it not so simple!

I'm not sure where to start.

This is incredibly well written: concise, strong rhythm, deep meaning, elegant word choice...

It is, well, beautiful. Meaningful, unique, something people can relate to.

Some poems just stand out. This is one of them. Good job!
