Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Around 11 pm I must go

Upstairs to rest my head

I open my window

And say my prayers

Then close my eyes to rest

I hear the creek gently flow

I cannot help but smile

Such stillness in this nighttime life

Such piece and joy and bliss

Then the crickets break the silence

Next the cows join in

They begin to start

The nighttime choir

But have only just begun

The coyotes howl and pups, they wine

Which makes the dogs uneasy

And so they bark

In harmony

To join that nighttime choir

The stars so bright

The wind so gentle

The moon is just a sliver

This is such

My dream come true

The epitome of bliss

Upon sleep I fall

To rest my soul

Morning will come too soon

While one world seems to fall asleep

Another will awaken

I live on a farm in the middle of no where. I often sleep on the top of the barn, just to listen and look at the stars.

Wow, this is really an amazing poem :-) 5 stars and I am adding this to my favorites :-) I noticed in your bio that you're homeschooled, so am I!
