Anger
My fuse is a short one.
My trigger, sensitive.
And while my blood boils,
My shoulders freeze.
My anger must be an odd number
For my temper has never been even.
But this fire doesn’t start on it’s own.
It’s lit by your matchbook words.
Brightened by your gasoline looks
And heated by your stone-cold silence.
