I've survived the worst part of the war
This one war a tougher one than before
Ligaments everywhere, there's blood on my face
A man, forced to be temporarily constrained in a child's place
I've persevered through another war, guess I'm a survivor
But it's out of the frying pan, and into the fire
These times, right now, I know are my most dire
I have many more battles to fight but for now I'm just tired
I crawl onto the next stage
Each battle gets harder with each day that I age
I am a warrior wounded, but ready for war
Only this time, I am physically and mentally torn
Stuck in no mans land
With not so much as a helping hand
This war will not be easily won, it will be a hard fight
But I will fight
Until my dying breath, I will fight
Fight for my humanity and my sanity
I will play with the cards that life has handed me
I was kicked while I was down
But I've come too far to give up now
I was pushed down and drug through the mud
But I am way too strong to give up
I am a warrior
I was made to fight
I fight everyday and every night
I am at war with myself
With no one else, no matter how much I scream for help
The war has been won, but the battle is only just about to begin
I guess the work of this warrior will never end
