They swim in the puddles in my head,
Keeping me from sleep in the night,
Turning shadows in the moonlight
To men with bloody knives,
Monsters with teeth of sharpened steel,
Giant spiders looking for a meal

Sometimes they make me shy
Sometimes they make me cry
Sometimes they make me wish to die

But I always feed my fish of thought,
Always change their water
And check their scales for rot.

Really simple, deep and meaningful poem. I loved it and can absolutely relate! :)
