The Pond

At a glance
The pond
seems still,
lifeless.
But look closer
so you can see
the
skimming
gliding
shining.
Your breath can obscure
your view
when it's cold but,
to me that's
the best time
to listen to the
echoing,
plunk,
plunk,
plunk.
