That's for Love
Looking at her scars
She names them all
She tells me the story
behind each bright red line
One is anger
the other is fear
But the one she calls love
is the brightest of them all
I was puzzled at the name
Why harm yourself out of love
She whispered something
that I couldn't hear
Tears streamed down
her face as she tried to breathe
She looked at me with
bright eyes innocent and aged
The lack of love is
what caused her pain
Although everyone loved her
She was still damaged
She was still alone
and didn't know love
