Dancer
She practices hour after hour
Perfecting her technique
Preparing to take the stage for her shining moment.
She runs her routine over and over
Making all the mistakes vanish.
Injured and tired she dances on
Anxiously awaiting her performance day.
She knows there are no second chances.
Her number is called for the audition
The pressure is on, but she is ready.
Once the music starts she is no longer human
She has become a dancer.
