she’s secretly funny
holding in so much
because she’s scared of whats to come

pushing people away before she gets the chance to get hurt
she’s tired of trying
she’s tired of crying and hurting
you just make it worse
but you don’t realize what you are doing to her

sometimes i regret my past
sometimes i am glad i lasted
most of the time i see the scars and wonder what took over
what made me do that to myself

my once smooth skin marred with marks that will never disappear
a constant reminder of what i’ve been through
a constant reminder of the emotions i felt
but somehow the shy girl off to the side powered through

you weren’t there when i was all alone
when the school turned on me
and my parents didn’t care

what you don’t realize
is i’m done feeling like crap all the time
talking to you makes me feel like that
