a mockingbird sings a beautiful song
but the song isn’t its own
it sings a ringing telephone
it sings a dog’s bark
it sings a creaky hinge

but it doesn’t have a song
of its own

I really like the idea this poem portrays. The poem is simple and brief, which I think really works in this case. However, I think the last stanza/ line could speak a little more... maybe try making it a little less redundant and more profound. Nice job (:
