"There is a time and a place for everything." - Professor Oak

To all who read this and are willing to be appalled,
I beg you to not act as a Lion.
The king of the Jungle, he has been called,
Is much like a king from Medieval time.
The way he uses his superior strength to
Crush the one's below him,
Can be compared to a politician too.

The Lion exploits and takes others lives,
Many of other kinds, but some of his own.
The leader of the pack takes many wives,
And totes then about in his harem.
Hindus would say Lions below us,
Tell me, then, why there are so many
Who act like the beasts, so many among us.

Why do we act so much like a creature?
To mimic their strength?
We take on much more of their Nature.
One more thing to note,
Is the way the Lion lays about in the sun,
All day, being lazy without exercise.
What the father Lion knows, is passed to the son.

I had to write this for English class. Although I don't like the words or really the content, I really like the rhyming pattern.
