Castles in the Skies
I lived in a little cottage, with a garden that needed weeding,
But I built a castle in the skies, which my imagination kept on feeding.
It grew and grew, to be tall and wide,
But somehow I could never get inside.
One day a storm came and shook the skies,
And there fell my castle, before my eyes.
I felt as if my dreams were broken,
My heart was torn and bleeding,
So I tended to my little garden, and began to start some weeding.
Before I knew, the blossoms came, and put all my silly dreams to shame.
This safe, sound cottage, beautiful to my eyes,
Was better than a thousand castles in the skies.
