The Art of the mind and Writing

Tall trees tower over
a small, lifeless pond
full of aching potential
it will never know
The burnt sienna sky
breaks through the barren branches,
struggling to show the
slivers of shade
the evening’s light;
a world beyond it’s own
The crisp autumn leaves
fall around me, dead
A lifetime of art
with only a day’s inspiration
I pick up my pencil
and write the world
back to life
