The waves crash with the roar of a dragon
on the suspecting sand
Foam roams the land
and tries to reach every corner

The water pulls at your feet,
deceptively playful
All the while it slinks around your ankles
with an unbreakable grip

You easily succumb to the sea’s wishes,
moving willingly along to the water
You sink with each step
but you are not afraid

You peer at the blanket of water
as it reaches your cheeks
Your eyes are wide open
as you fall completely under

Soundlessly you tumble
The darkness clouds your vision
until you cannot see
the sunlight that reaches out its limbs

Only now can calm spread through your chest,
released and flowing freely
For it is only underwater
that you hear nothing at all
