She was my crush
Her bright eyes appeared on TV
She was a star
Her narrow shoulders were the center of attention
Her roles spoke to audiences
My love for her was powerful
But she spit out in disgust
She married a businessman
and I married an alcoholic
She prospered in Hollywood
and I diminished in depression
She died of breast cancer
I stood up and cheered
