I write to be the characters that I'm not.

I sit
Shivering on my bed
Listening
To the voices in my head
Telling me I’m wrong
Singing me a song
Of lilies and white roses
Kissed with golden spray paint
And the purity of pages
Telling me what and how and when
I should give up my inhabitations
And lay down my life
On a bed of white
Not kissed with gold
But with me and you
Twisted in sheets of Creation
Of life and divination
To send into you
The before that has cause me so much tears
And you unto me
The names of past lovers so carelessly etched into your tongue
Not sitting now, but lying
Lying to your face, so close to mine
Change me, bring me
To a world where I don’t have to cry
About the others I have so carelessly
Sketched into my life
Forever
Mine
