Passion
Passion is a monster.
It clings to your soul,
thick like lust, hot like the moment of sweet release.
I want more,
but I fear what it will make me do next.
Who am I,
in the end?
I am passion,
free.
The invisible chains that hold me in,
called freedom.
Not a slave to morals,
not chained down by people.
My rules are select and few,
but they bind tighter than anything.
Follow my rules and fly,
but when you don't,
failure is sure to come.
So I fly,
through time and
secrets,
never looking back.
I soar through emotions,
putrid and terrifying.
When it's all over,
I do feel regret.
For I wonder,
who will catch me
should I ever fall?

So this isn't my best work, but it is one of the first poems I ever wrote and I just felt like posting it. Enjoy!
