Taxis roar by honking

Lights of Time Square sparkle

My anxiety shoots up like the skyscrapers

Steps out into the streets

Dodging bikes and furious cars

Talent walking beside me

Broadway

Street dancers attract a crowd

Born with an empire state of mind

Radio City

30 Rockefeller Center

Legendary

Individuality saturating every vein

Opportunities given

Opportunities taken

Breath taking skylines

Breath taking individuals

The dreams of young performers

The dream of people who never sleep

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem about New York City because I think the city is so magical. I'm inspired by the talent and passion that walks around there each day. People wear what makes them feel good, dances in the street for money, and sings at restaurants to try to be discovered. I just think its beautiful, So I wrote this as an O'd to NYC
