you twist my heart as
you kiss me.
from my lips you take,
these poisoned words sitting on my tongue.
You force them out, and like a light
they explode in the room,

but they burns a hole through
the floor, and leave a sour taste
on my lips.

You say it’s the taste of
your love; it’s the compassion
of your listening ears;
I am just
not used to it.

I love you, dear,
but I cannot sit
tied here, having you force
these words from my lips

they will come
with a free will
destined to destroy you.

instead of murdering the floor,
they will bury underneath it,
coming between the cracks,
catching you by the ankles,

your ears will wish they
had never heard those words.
they will make your love
bleed into the recesses
of this already broken room.

thank you. to think I thought about this poem until I was reciting it in my sleep... :) It's so much more than a compliment. Thank you.

This is beautiful :)
