This war was worth this

Don't ever cut yourself it's
gross and no one will
hang out with you.
They call it a cry for attention developed by people who have nothing better to do.
It destroys trust and burns bridges and even after it's over you're still watched when you f***ing sleep
and your arms are striped with s***ty pink tattoos you did yourself on a drunk night and will
regret forever.
When you start to destroy yourself
there won't be a day in the winter
that goes by when you don't think
about it.
You will never recover.
You will never see yourself in the
same light and the
shame
will claw at your lungs and it won't stop until you cry out of frustration and try to escape your
skin.
Your own skin
that you broke
your own skin that you ruined
that you tainted. Don't
cut yourself.
It's gross
and no one
will hang out with you.

My thoughts on self harm/self destruction. Remember that me writing a poem about this issue does not suggest that I have personal experience with it. Don't worry.

I must have misunderstood, I'm sorry. You use powerful words, hurtful words but I see where you are coming from now. I saw another comment similar to mine which made me think there was something to be defended. Anyway, it is a strong poem and I'm about to look at some of your other work!

@Kenzico The first and last few lines are meant to be insulting because they are things that have been said to me. I'm sorry you took it the wrong way, and I'm sorry it took me ages to reply.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.

What a waste of a good, clean wrist. (my cousin told me that qoute.) I'm not a fan of cussing, but I'm glad you expressed yourself honestly. I'm glad that you're also against self-harm/self-destruction. But what I do want to disagree with you is this: people who do care, REALLY CARE, will still be with you and want to hang out with you. I know this, becasue I've had thoughts of self-harm (suicide or whichever) and the people who care for me still are with me, encouraging me. I've never attempted self-harm, (suicide or whichever) but I have come almost close to doing it or wanting to do it. Anyways, short story: people who do care for you will want to still be with you. Thank you, for sharing this and for being honest.

If you're absent during my struggle. Don't expect to be present during my success.

I'm sorry but this poem is very much so insulting...
