The Sound Won't Leave

You emptied the picture-frames
and took the treasures inside
Now they are skeletons,
hollow like me
You pried our memories
from my hands
and tainted them
with the fact that you were leaving
You took pieces of my heart
after you shattered it
When I try to put it back together
there are holes
You stole everything
that mattered to me
and all you left
was resonating silence
