Careful!
Don't close your eyes.
If you do,
She will slip away.
With an effort,
She will not look back,
And she will fly,
Slowly,
As if waiting for you
To realize her absence
And catch her.
But it's too late.
She was always
Going, going, going.
And, finally, today,
She is gone,
To be lost forever
In a land of shattered dreams
And slow-moving tides.
