The world is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper.

Set the fasers to maximum stun
don’t be distracted as a fermion punches through the hull
curse the Quarks!
we were only mining protons
now I was dodging deadly muons…
a slepton whirred past my ear
down! Get down!

Dive into the antineutrino drive
ignore the Tau radiation
and try to reverse the polarity
before we are sucked into the event horizon
I reach for my dilaton gun
curses- out of mesons.

Stillness.
Quiet.
Only achievable in the depths of far space.
Or those few moments
before being engulfed
by a singularity.
Set the weapons to full!

Too late
far too late.
A wormhole opens its mouth
gaping at us
from just behind the graviton.
We can’t escape.

So let’s dive in!

I was in a physics lesson, and we were all laughing about how so many of the technical terms sounded like they had been taken from a low budget sci-fi script. I hope this may make you smile.

UGH. Trying to remember all those terms in ANY science class is such a pain! But you've made it an adventure! Good job! I love it!
