empty (bursting at the seams)
i am dark charcoal and flame,
boy. reach inside these hollow
walls and scrape me clean
until all that is left in your hands
is ash
i am crumpled paper and words,
boy. take your loudest whisper and
press your secrets against mine
until all that is left in your head
is static
i am rose petals and lemon peel,
boy. taste me on the tip of your
tongue and feed your fears to me
until all that is left in your mouth
is bittersweet
i am cracked skies and gunmetal,
boy. hold me against your skin and
pour your thoughts into the cracks
until all that is left in your heart
is space
i am empty, you are empty; together
we are bursting at the seams. take
your words and weave them with mine
until all that is left in us
is love
