"Life is like a bowl of cherries, with a few nuts thrown in."

The wind is cold;
our sun-thirsty flesh
puckers in response
like unripened apples
filling out the knotted
branches of trees
Clematis blooms collapse
into their fragile skeletons-
ascending cobalt beauty
sucked slowly into dirt
The substance of air
turns absently passive
and Procrastination
dances boldly
in the fading sunlight.

I usually, 98% of the time, hate free verse poems ( for reasons I won't go into) but this is so lovley and so beautifully written. Well done. 5/5 Stars. Keep on writting, you're very good.
