Glass wings glide through the gentle air
composed of gray and stale despair
The pieces jangle, shining bright
catching waves of beautiful light

They carry their host near and away,
always chasing after the day
She’ll twinkle as you watch her go,
high over cities and their woes

And when the world is falling down
She is the one who will not drown
She’ll fear none when the ground runs dry
She is the daughter of the sky
