My five-inch cutout
Of a winter wonderland
Still spoiled with fallen trees
And hidden traps
Iris sneaks by me
Leaving only a mysterious package
With contents unknown
And a story untold
Each flake
Adds to this ongoing wasteland
Horribly woeful
Wonderfully strange
It seems to me
More blackouts
Are on the way
I only hope
Not to be left
In the dark
