This pen of mine tries to write
Something very special
But all that I hear in my heart
Is a tinkly crash
So by now my words are written
On a crumpled paper next to my heart

Loosely gathered thoughts scrawl
Across this paper like a bundle of straw
Though it's heavy as though the straw was gravel

All I am sure of is that my pen is under
The binding spell of a passionate
Heart that won't quit hoping
Wishing to see you again
