I can not compete
I am not strong enough.
I am not good enough.
I am not beautiful.
I have nothing to offer,
Except for myself,
And we both know
That I am not the
Better offer.
If I could write you
A word, or two, or four,
Or one million tiny words,
Telling you that you’re
Everything to me,
Then I would.
I would be normal,
Complete, whole,
I would be in love.
I would be yours.
For now, though,
I am invisible,
For I can not compete
With these other girls.
