Senioritis
A fever of a hundred two
Your skin is ragged, wrinkled and blue
Senile laughter down by the lockers
Medication down by the trail
Freedom has yet to begin,
So don’t loosen your grip
Or your heart might fail.
Lonely in the auditorium
You’re a lazy valedictorian
A barbecue around the corner
Nostrils inhale salty water
The sane hallucinating
From being so bored of waiting
Your forehead just keeps getting hotter.
