Comfortable Distance

Is it worth the risk?
All my life I’ve kept a comfortable distance
So I wouldn’t get hurt
I’ve always been afraid to open to others
Afraid of what would’ve happen if i did
I’ve got a tight grip on reality but I can’t
Bear to see you go
After all that you’ve done for me
Saying, “thank you” isn’t enough
Being with you is a never ending happiness
So I’m trying to break that comfortable distance
To make it better than it was ever before
But if I let go, will you catch me when I fall?
