You Are...

You are the pain and misery,

The weak and ill minded.
You are the shampoo in my eyes,
And the soap on my paper cut.
You are the mistaken and misguided,
And the devil’s hog.

However, you are not the light to my day,
The sun,
Or the stars.
And you are certainly not the other part that completes me.
There is just no way that you are considerate, caring, or even sincere.

It is possible that you are not the only guilty one,
Maybe even ignorant to what you’ve done,
But you are not even close to being innocent.

And a quick look in the mirror will show
That you are neither the world,
Nor does it revolve around you.

It might interest you to know,
Speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world,
That I am shy and intimidated.

I also happen to be sensitive,
Worried and not confident in myself,
And even scared or uncourageous at times.

I am also the fragile bird with a broken wing,
And the small one in the corner that never made a peep.

But don’t worry, I’m not the heartless and the coward.
You are still the heartless and the coward.
You will always be the heartless and the coward,
And somehow the ‘hurt one.’
