Red; A poem for my crush
When he looks at me, I quickly turn away
Fearing that he'll speak to me and I won't know what to say
Perhaps he will notice that I've gone completely red
And everything I've dreamed about would be just as good as dead
I sit beside him nervously, desperate to steal a glance
Because every time I look at him, I fall into a trance
When he laughs, my heart leaps into a song
I know that I'm falling for him, though I haven't known him very long
I'm enchanted by his eyes and he has the greatest smile
Why would he be interested in me, a girl so ignorant and vile
Something about him pulls me in sending shivers down my spine
I feel the need to be with him, and I am running short on time
I wish I were brave enough to make my feelings clear
But every time I start to ask, I just retreat in fear
