She's the Girl
She’s the girl who everyone can go to for help.
She’s the girl who always has a smile.
She’s the girl who everyone thinks has the perfect life.
She’s the girl who has perfect hair.
She’s the girl who can get any guy she wanted.
She’s the girl who has eyes that could light up a room.
She’s the girl who gets everything she wants.
“She’s absolutely gorgeous,”
“Everyone likes her,”
“I wish I was like her,”
“She’s perfect.”
A compliment, envies, jealousy.
Bricks and stones thrown to break her down,
For minutes, hours, days, weeks, months; it didn’t bother her.
She lives with no regrets but she lives among lies.
She tells everyone she’s fine, what a pitiful lie.
She lies in bed trying not to cry too loud.
They tell her she has no reason to be sad, if they knew what she went through.
Her mind is a dangerous place to be, let alone trapped in.
Scars up her arms, growls from her stomach.
Striving to be a wannabe Barbie.
She lives within me; she is me.
