Trapped
Her nose is pressed against the unbreakable glass, arms pushing but she can’t find a way out,
People walk around her, not seeing her struggle.
She doesn’t know when she’ll finally fit in, or when the box around her will dissolve.
Her shadow always surprises her when she sees that it’s not trapped like her,
Although sometimes she appreciates being separated from the world, because she’s in her world,
However unpleasant it sometimes seems.
For now she stays there though, detached from who she used to be and alienated from who she wanted to be.
