"Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present." --Marcus Aurelius

I don’t know what to say,
my friend, I feel you so damn sad
your brilliant eyes are dead inside
(I don’t know what to do)
I thought you had it first but then you cracked before me
and I had to hold you, tried to
hold you together
as you said I don’t know what I’m gonna do
I loved her so damn much
she was the only thing in this madness sea
that kept me seeing straight
your hands pressed at my back
(those tears and the smell of you)
I buried my face in your shoulder
and didn’t know what to say.
I hope you know how special you are
and how free you are
and how she’ll by dying for you
(or she should be)
I will always believe in you
Thank you you said
Thank you thank you I’m sorry
I don’t know what to say but
I will always believe in you
(thank you)
(thank you thank you I’m sorry)

Can I assume this poem is about your friend in the poem "The Dead Sea Again"? I remember you saying your friend was in a relationship, in which everyone assumed would last. But she ended up dumping your friend. If not, correct me. But I saw some similarities to that other poem with this one. In your poems that deal with your friends, I see the deep concern and love and appreciation you have for each and every one of them. Not a lot of friends are that way. I love how you stick up for Alex here. And wish and hope him the best in this hard time. I hope he does end up finding that person that will love him the way he should be loved—the way we should all be loved sometime in the future or whenever. As for this poem, it doesn't cease to amazing. 5 stars, amiga!
