darkling

I keep to myself,
Yet my foot is in many worlds,
I seem like a Goth, but I’m not,
I am a darkling.
I mope about,
Meditate,
And write all my feelings out.
Yes, as you guessed,
I do wish to be something I am not.
Maybe a athlete?
I can’t ,I’m a darkling,
A popular kid?
I can’t, I’m a darkling,
A full fledged nerd?
No I am a darkling!
I may mope about, wishing to be something else,
But now I realize,
I am a darkling, a man with a foot in many worlds,
So I ask you,
Why should I be something else,
When I can be a darkling?
