rosenberg MAG
The lightning tore through
The guilt and the shame,
Scorching the veins until
They were burnt black.
The fire serrated the lungs
But the heart stood whole
And ebbed the storm that
Ravaged the rosy brain.
Peace slipped through the
Pores and before she felt it,
They saw her soul rise from
Her skull and sway the
Empty steel rafters that hid
Heaven from men's eyes.
