Blind
Life is born lacking, isn't it?
It's something filled with pain
A word to heal the broken heart
And hide its scars again
I'm blinded by my hurts,
I'm wounded from those words
The red sounds the alert,
Yet silence, once again.
I feel as insignificant as the sand
That washes back and forth onto this riverbank
The water creates many ridges
As if its current knows no end.
A nightmare to poison sleep,
A sad thought to degrade the day
What is there, I ask
To take this pain away
Away yet here,
No difference in circumstance.
One hot red tear,
I look forward with blind eyes
I've become numb
The world's never kind
The afflictions have come
For through these eyes, I am blind
