Sometimes life takes a path that is hard to walk on, so all you have to do is put on your hiking boots.

I took your love for granite
I smashed it against a wall
Your pride in me had vanished
Against that now stained colored wall
Of hearts
And feelings broken
Since all had been thrown away
I had no heart or soul to give
But your heart stayed the same
I took you yourself us for grant it
So now I must hope
That forgiveness doesn’t have an expiration date.
I promise I’ll change

this is really great because you realize you had some fault in the situation. A lot of these poems only blame the other person. Great job. i like the part where you talk about smashing love against the wall and staining it.
