You know not the pain I feel
The turmoil, a storm in my soul
The evil tearing through my heart
It’s been here from the start
And now when life is all gone
The happiness can’t be found
Nothing seems to be alright
Nothing seems worth the fight
But when I tell a single soul
It’s the pain that they don’t know
All I hear is that’s too bad, I’m sorry
I don’t want their apology
What I really want to hear
Is that you’ll always be here
That you’ll hold me in your arms
And hide me away from all harm
Tell me it will be okay
That my pain will somehow fade
Or that I’m strong enough
That this pain makes me tough
Tell me words of truth and love
Tell me all these things above
Then take me from this place
Remove me from my disgrace
Replace the hate I’ve known
The pain I suffered all alone
Wipe away my hurt filled tears
The agony of all these years
Help me get my second try
Before life and love go on by
Help me be who I’m meant to be
