These nights seem restless
Hope is a long conquest
Feelings so mind blowing
It almost feels like the world is slowing

Guilt is a reminder of broken hearts
Depression is a part of me, pinning like darts
Loneliness is where I have placed myself
Feelings start to erase myself

No memories of true happy times
Writing words with or without rhymes
Stirred in my mind
Relentless at times

Poetry runs through my head
Letting me know I'm like a thread
Sown down and tightly bound

Here I am with words
Letting my feelings fly like birds
My mind slowly begins to free
Eventually I will be free and flow like the sea
